Darcie was born in England and moved to Australia at eighteen. She's a freelance photographer, with a commerce degree she mostly doesn't use.

She's been surfing over ten years and reckons she's only just starting to feel good at it, which is an odd thing to say about someone who won her boardriders club championship last year.
